Santiago García de Leániz Caprile, born in Madrid in 1963,  studied theatre in Victoria, B.C., Canada, and cinema in London, UK. Upon returning to Madrid, Spain,  he made his mark in the film industry as an assistant director and production manager. In the early 90s he co-founded La Iguana, an independent film production company that garnered international acclaim for its documentaries, short films, and six feature films. Member of the European Film Academy (EFA), he  shares his expertise by teaching cinema and photography, while his photographic work is showcased in both print and digital media im private collections worldwide.
